Wimbledon International Music Festival 10 - 25 November

MESSIAH, Sacred Heart, Saturday 24 November 8.00pm

Due to a cycling accident, James Newby has had to withdraw as Baritone soloist in Messiah. His place will be taken by the brilliant young Australian, Morgan Pearse Biography

Morgan has been receiving glowing reviews playing title roles in several opera houses round the world. He is equally at home in concert and oratorio repertoire. Immediately following his appearance in Wimbledon on Saturday, Morgan is flying to Australia for a tour of Messiah under Christian Curnyn.

We are grateful to him for making himself available at short notice. He joins a list of  superb soloists: Rowan Pierce, soprano - David Allsopp, countertenor - and James Gilchrist, tenor.

I am pleased to say that James Newby is not seriously hurt, wanted to come to Wimbledon, but advised to rest. We wish him well.
