WIMF 11 to 26 November 2017

There has been a lot of good feedback on this year’s festival programme, with special interest in the three great choral concerts, all at Sacred Heart church.

SONORO - PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA
A ROBERT GRAVES ORATORIO

Sat 11 November

Tickets

Sonoro

We have a great line up for our opening night: SONORO, the acclaimed Wimbledon-based professional choir, are joined by the PHILHARMONIA Orchestra, and baritone Edward Grint in an outstanding oratorio based on the war poems of Wimbledon-born Robert Graves, which “conveys the richness of Robert Grave’s poetry with unfailing passion and intensity”

Praised by conductor Andrew Carwood of St.Paul’s Cathedral, this exciting work is on the cards for being the closing work in their four-year commemoration of WW1.

We thank Robert Holmes for his sponsorship of this opening event, and for supporting this fine new work.
