J S Bach is our featured composer this year, and the Festival begins with some of his most exhilarating and surpassingly beautiful choral music.
In the first and last pieces, we hear the splendour of the trumpet alongside other instruments and voices. The three quiet intervening pieces reach the heart in the way that only Bach can do.
A cast of outstanding young Bach singers join the Academy's brilliant Choir and Baroque Players.
